Cost Optimisation

Cloud spend grows quickly when resources aren't right-sized or monitored. We identify where you're paying more than you need to and show you where the savings are.

Right-Sizing & Idle Resources

We analyse EC2, RDS, and other resource utilisation data to identify instances that are over-provisioned for their workload. We also flag resources that are running but idle — stopped instances still incurring EBS costs, unused NAT Gateways, idle load balancers, and other spend that delivers no value.

Reserved Instances & Savings Plans

For workloads with predictable, steady-state usage, Reserved Instances and Savings Plans can reduce compute costs significantly. We identify which resources are good candidates based on their usage patterns and calculate the potential savings compared to on-demand pricing.

Storage Tiering & Lifecycle Policies

We review S3 storage usage and identify data that could be moved to Infrequent Access, Glacier, or Glacier Deep Archive tiers based on access patterns. We also check whether lifecycle policies are in place to automate tiering and deletion of stale data, reducing storage costs without manual intervention.

Data Transfer Costs

Data transfer is one of the most overlooked cost drivers in AWS. We review cross-region transfers, NAT Gateway data processing charges, and internet egress patterns to identify where costs are accumulating and whether architectural changes — such as VPC Endpoints or regional consolidation — could reduce them.

Overall Spend Efficiency

We review your AWS Cost Explorer trends, Trusted Advisor cost recommendations, and Compute Optimizer findings to build a prioritised list of savings opportunities. Each recommendation includes the estimated monthly saving so you can make informed decisions about where to act first.
